Systems Engineering Summit 2018
Indian Society of System for Science and Engineering (ISSE) is a professional body for inter disciplinary collaboration of systems in science and engineering. ISSE is unique among the systems oriented institutions having the objective of bringing together scholars and practitioners from academic, business and R&D organizations for promoting the systems concept. The society was started in the year 2010 at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), Thiruvananthapuram. The Inauguration of the Bengaluru Chapter of Indian Society of System for Science and Engineering is yet another initiative by the society for bringing together various research centres, industries & academic institutions in and around Bengaluru. It is a holistic approach for sharing the available resources and experience to enrich the system knowledge. The Bengaluru chapter-ISSE was inaugurated by Dr. A.S. Kiran Kumar, chairman-ISRO on 25th May 2015. ISSE offers membership as honorary fellow, fellow, life member and associate member. Any person with graduation in Engineering or Post Graduation in science having minimum two years professional experience and meeting the age criteria of twenty five years is eligible to become a life member. ISSE Head Quarters is at Thiruvananthapuram, kerala, India.

INCOSE is a not-for-profit membership organization that promotes international collaboration in systems engineering (SE) practice, education, and research with a vision for a better world through a systems approach. INCOSE’s mission is to ‘address complex societal and technical challenges by enabling, promoting, and advancing systems engineering and systems approaches’. We believe the true challenges of today and tomorrow are systems challenges and that without the systems perspective, we cannot address these challenges effectively, efficiently, and free from unintended consequences. We find the interesting things are often found in the gaps – between disciplines, between technologies, between components. INCOSE connects systems practitioners around the world – across organizational boundaries, domain boundaries, and national boundaries. Founded in 1990, INCOSE has over 70 chapters, 100 corporate advisory board members, and more than 14,000 members in over 30 countries worldwide.
We create, advance, and broker information on systems approaches to help the broader community address complex challenges. Likewise we champion the systems perspective and the unique value of systems engineering and those who apply it.
Our Goals are:
• To provide a focal point for dissemination of systems engineering knowledge.
• To promote international collaboration in systems engineering practice, education, and research.
• To assure the establishment of competitive, scale-able professional standards in the practice of systems engineering.
• To improve the professional status of all persons engaged in the practice of systems engineering.
• To encourage governmental and industrial support for research and educational programs that will improve the systems engineering process and its practice.
In addition to many local chapter and regional activities, INCOSE hosts two annual international events per year. The first is the International Workshop, which focuses on encouraging and promoting the activities of INCOSE’s technical Working Groups (WGs), the primary engine behind the products released by INCOSE Technical Operations (TechOps). The second annual event is the International Symposium. This event is rich in content that promotes new research and state-of-the-art practice in SE. It also provides introductory content for those new to the discipline. These events attract more than 1,000 attendees from six continents each year.
